YA South Asian Novels

South Asian Heritage Month is an annual celebration in Canada of immigrants from South Asian countries and their cultures. The subcontinent of South Asia is comprised of 9 countries: India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Burma, Maldives, Bhutan, and Bangladesh.

In honour of this commemorative occasion, I have made a list of YA novels set in South Asian countries. Enjoy!

    Thank you, so much. I can't tell you how much this means to me. As a South Asian-Canadian blogger, I've noticed that there are not many South Asian YA books in the market. I'm currently reading Swimming in the Moonsoon Sea for school. I plan to read Life of Pi because of recommendation. I am going to slowly work my way through this list. Thank you for honouring these books!
